Without being among the 40% who move back home broke, burnt out, divorced, disillusioned or feeling like a failure...and even if your schedule is already packed...so you don’t have to lose thousands of wasted dollars on visa and moving costs, and worse, lose your high-paying salary, saving you tens, or even hundreds of thousands of dollars in the long run.

Sunet Gopaul is a Specialist Trauma Therapist and Expat Coach with more than a decade of experience in the coaching and consulting industry. With lived experience, as well as formal training in Cross Cultural Competence, Immigrant Adaptation and Expatriate Debriefing methodologies, Sunet has personally prepared dozens of families to navigate culture shock, cross-cultural integration and mental health as an immigrant / expat.
If you are not significantly more settled and happier in your new life abroad in 90 days, you don't pay...
If you're a skilled immigrant who moved abroad with your family for a better life, and you feel lost, lonely and isolated, questioning whether you made the right decision...Your kids are struggling to fit in at school, and you don't know how to help them, because you're struggling with the exact same thing.
You show up at work exhausted, operating at half capacity...simple conversations drain you completely.
By the time you get home, you have nothing left for your family. You try to make friends, and people are polite, but it never goes deeper than surface-level small talk.
Meanwhile, your family back home is moving on without you. New babies, birthday parties, Sunday dinners...and you're missing all of it...
The worst part? You thought you were prepared for this...
You speak English. You're educated, competent in your field, but no matter what you try, you can’t seem to integrate, and you’re on the verge of moving back home, wasting thousands in visa costs, giving up your new, higher income, and losing everything you’ve worked so hard for.
If that sounds like you, then here's my promise to you…
Work with my program for 90 days, and I'll help you fully integrate into your new country and genuinely love your life abroad...Without being fluent in the local language, without being extroverted, and even if your schedule is already packed...So you don’t have to move home, lose thousands of wasted dollars on visa and moving costs, and worse, lose your high-paying salary, saving you tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars in the long run.
And if you're not feeling significantly more settled and happy in your new country within 90 days...You don't pay. The results are completely guaranteed.
Now, you might be wondering, "How can she make such a bold guarantee?"
Well, it's simple...I have been where you are myself...and I have the professional qualifications and experience to get you real, lasting results.
For almost 3 years I personally prepared dozens of expat families navigating international moves.
I've seen people succeed and I've seen people fail in real time, and I've developed a breakthrough process called the Cross-Cultural Integration System (CCIS) that any expat or immigrant can use to integrate into their new country, fall in love with their life abroad, and keep their high-paying salary, instead of going home and losing everything.

Expat coaching helps you develop the mindset and skills needed to build a successful and fulfilling life overseas.
One of the biggest challenges immigrants face is learning how to navigate unfamiliar cultural rules, communication styles, and social expectations.
Cross-cultural competence training helps you understand how different cultures think, communicate, and interact.
Benefits include:
• Better communication across cultures
• Reduced misunderstandings and social friction
• Stronger relationships with colleagues and communities
• Increased confidence in multicultural environments
• Improved professional success in international workplaces
• Greater cultural intelligence and adaptability
Cross-cultural competence is one of the most valuable skills for immigrants, expats, global professionals, and international students.
One of the most powerful ways to overcome isolation abroad is by connecting with others who understand your experience.
Through our online programs and live support sessions, you gain access to a community of immigrants and expats navigating similar journeys.
Benefits include:
• Feeling understood and supported
• Sharing experiences and practical advice
• Reducing loneliness and isolation abroad
• Learning coping strategies for cultural adjustment
• Building meaningful international friendships
When people feel supported during immigration and cultural transition, they adapt faster and experience better mental health outcomes.
Many immigrants focus on practical tasks like visas, jobs, and housing — but mental health and cultural adjustment are just as important...if not more.
Investing in your psychological wellbeing helps you:
• adapt faster
• avoid burnout and chronic stress
• build stronger relationships
• succeed professionally
• and feel truly at home in your new country.
Moving to a new country can be exciting, but it can also place intense and ongoing pressure on your mind and body. Many immigrants, expats, and international professionals experience chronic stress and culture shock as they adjust to unfamiliar environments, languages, social rules, and expectations.
Being equipped with the right psychological tools and cultural understanding can make a profound difference. Instead of feeling overwhelmed by the challenges of immigration, you can develop the resilience and clarity needed to build a stable and fulfilling life abroad.
Improved Mental Health and Emotional Stability:
When you understand how chronic stress and culture shock affect your mind and body, you are better able to manage emotional overwhelm.
Benefits include:
• Reduced anxiety and emotional exhaustion
• Greater emotional regulation during stressful situations
• Improved ability to cope with uncertainty and change
• Lower risk of burnout, depression, and long-term stress
Learning how to manage stress effectively allows your nervous system to recover and function more optimally in a new environment.
Faster Cultural Adaptation:
Culture shock can create confusion, frustration, and feelings of isolation. Being equipped with cross-cultural competence and adaptation skills helps you adjust faster and more smoothly.
Benefits include:
• Understanding cultural norms and communication styles
• Avoiding common misunderstandings and social friction
• Feeling more confident interacting with locals and colleagues
• Developing a stronger sense of belonging in your new country
The more culturally aware you become, the easier it is to navigate everyday life abroad.
Stronger Personal Resilience:
Immigration requires enormous resilience. Developing the ability to manage chronic stress builds psychological strength that benefits every area of life.
Benefits include:
• Greater confidence when facing unfamiliar challenges
• The ability to recover more quickly from setbacks
• Improved problem-solving and decision-making under pressure
• A stronger sense of personal capability and independence
Resilience allows you to turn difficult experiences into personal growth.
Better Relationships and Social Integration:
Stress and culture shock can sometimes lead to withdrawal, misunderstandings, or conflict with others. When you understand how stress and cultural differences influence behaviour, relationships improve significantly.
Benefits include:
• Clearer communication with people from different cultural backgrounds
• Stronger friendships and support networks
• Greater empathy and cultural awareness
• Reduced interpersonal conflict
Healthy relationships are one of the most important factors in successful immigration and long-term wellbeing.
Increased Professional Success:
Chronic stress and cultural confusion can quietly undermine professional performance. When you learn to manage stress and navigate cultural differences effectively, your career can benefit significantly.
Benefits include:
• Greater confidence in multicultural workplaces
• Improved communication with international colleagues and clients
• Better focus, productivity, and decision-making
• Stronger leadership and cross-cultural collaboration skills
Cultural intelligence is becoming one of the most valuable skills in global workplaces.
Greater Sense of Stability and Belonging:
One of the most powerful benefits of learning how to handle chronic stress and culture shock is the ability to feel grounded again.
Instead of feeling like an outsider or constantly overwhelmed, you can begin to experience:
• a sense of emotional stability
• confidence navigating daily life
• deeper connection with your new environment
• and a growing feeling that you truly belong.
With the right support and tools, the challenges of immigration can become an opportunity for personal growth, resilience, and cross-cultural wisdom.

Born and raised in South Africa, known as the "Rainbow Nation" because of all its diverse cultures, I have always been intrigued by different cultures, different ways of seeing the world, and mental health & trauma.
As a student I got involved in voluntary humanitarian services in several countries, and eventually found myself moving to Turkey, learning the language, and majestically failing at managing culture shock, with the depression and burnout that comes with it.
I eventually moved back home to South Africa, which at this point no longer felt like home...reverse culture-shock had me on my knees once again.
While I was recovering from this, I travelled to Hungary to be trained as an Expat Coach so that I can help others not go through what I had gone through.
Shortly after, I met my now husband, and am now in a cross-cultural marriage...and then we took our cross-cultural relationship and put it on a plane to Australia where we now live as immigrants.
Specialist Psychotherapist (Trauma)
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences with a major in Psychology and a three-year advanced certificate in Narrative Therapy. I am trained in various therapeutic approaches, including CBT, DBT, EMDR, Traumatic Incident Reduction, Brainspotting, Somatic Exercizes, Neuropsychotherapy, and more. My speciality is Trauma Therapy.
I also have lived experience of trauma both as a child and adult.
Expat Coaching
I was trained as an Expat Coach in Hungary, and have since helped dozens of families adapt to their new life abroad. My areas of training in this field are:
- Cross-Cultural Competence
- Acculturation
- Culture Shock
- Expat / Immigrant Debriefing methodologies
I have lived experience of being an expat, and later an immigrant, learning a new language, going through culture shock myself, and making my home abroad a place that feels like home.
I am a Psychotherapist and Expat Coach, and unfortunately do not have the expertise and qualifications to give you official advice on VISAS and immigration laws. Please contant an immigration agent or immigration lawyer if this is what you are looking for.
